Hodge-Podge

Lots has happened since last week! Allie turned TEN on Monday. Unbelievable! I cannot believe my sweet Allie Grace is ten years old.

Maggie went to Auburn with Grandmomma and Grandaddy over the weekend. They went to Tiger Walk, they tailgated, and went to probably the best game of the season. She had a blast!! She now says "War Eagle" with great enthusiasm. :)

A few weekends ago, I picked up these curtains for my living room at a Thrift Store. For THREE DOLLARS!! Don't they look great??!!

I also found a great deal online on some herbal blends. One called Baby Bath that has Lavender, Rosemary, Rose Petals, and Yarrow Flowers. You steep it like a tea and add it to the baby's bath. It smells heavenly! Also got this Mama's Red Raspberry Brew for making tea. It has Red Raspberry, Alfalfa, Nettle, and Peppermint. It's a good support for the womb during pregnancy. I steep some up every day!

And today, we visited a farm in New Market with my friend Melody, where we got some fresh milk, eggs, and soap. What a great field trip! Penelope was entranced by the cows mooing at her. She couldn't stay away! Allie and Maggie got to gather eggs straight from the chicken coop. We also saw goats and sheep. Really makes me want a farm. . .

  1. The 2 pictures you picked of Maggie at Auburn were my 2 favorites, as well. I love the shot of Penelope mesmerized by the cows (pretty skinny cows, I must say). Pretty green curtains!
Allie has become a very unique young lady in her first 10 years. I can't even imagine what she'll be like in ANOTHER ten. Lots of action in that Rodgers family.

  2. Great pictures! Had a great today at the farm; I hope you like the milk. I'm thinking of getting some of that yummy-smelling soap next time! See you soon!
